Our First House

My husband has been in the military for 6 years and we recently moved from the beautiful island of Oahu to Maryland.  We absolutely fell in love with Hawaii (which who wouldn’t it’s paradise) so moving to Maryland was pretty hard.  During the move I was also 25 weeks pregnant so it just added to the crazy.  We packed up our house and headed to our next adventure.  The big prospect for this move for us was that we were finally going to buy our first house.  We didn’t have a lot of time as we wanted to be in a house by the time the baby came in December.  After many failed house viewings we had somewhat given up hope that we would find a house, and considered renting until after the baby came and things settled down.  Our realtor called and said she had one more house to show us.  We walked in and I turned to my husband and we both knew.  It was the first place that felt like home. It was built in 1983 and the stairs creak but we love it.
One of the things we absolutely loved was the backyard. With two kids we knew we needed room for them to run.  Plus the view from my kitchen window has been beautiful in autumn and winter.  After living in Hawaii and having such a small yard that Collin couldn't have a playground he didn't know what to think of our backyard.  He kept asking us if all this room to play was ours.  It was precious.
